Last weekend, the girls and I headed for camp right after T-Ball on Saturday morning. I woke up that morning with a headache and it was a full-blown migraine by the time we go to Brooks. Luckily, my sister was there with her family, so I left the kids to play with their cousins and took a 2 hour nap, which helped considerably. When I got up, the girls and I went geocaching before supper and found 3 of them within 5 minutes of camp.
The next morning, we went to visit Aunt Minnie and check the game camera. Unfortunately, my batteries seem to have died and the card was completely empty. On the way back to camp, we stopped and found a couple more caches. My dad tagged along and he found one of them for us.
This weekend started off with my work buddy, Joe, coming over on Friday night to play Rock Band with us. We stayed up way too late and I suffered for it the next day. Friday morning, I could tell that I had a cold coming on, and it really floored me on Saturday. I took the girls to T-Ball in the morning, but felt awful by the time I got home and spent most of the afternoon in bed. I finally started coming around later that evening, but the day was pretty much shot by then.
Sunday morning, I still wasn't feeling great and most of the morning was spent in bed or in the recliner. I started coming around after lunch, though, and we took the kids to Toots for ice cream and geocaching. We found the one hidden right at Toots itself. Then we went back and got the one we couldn't find two weeks earlier near the Village Green in North Yarmouth. We still had time to kill before supper, so we headed to Sparhawk mill to get #3 for the day. That one was definitely the coolest so far. It was in a pretty hairy spot, though, so the kids weren't allowed to go near it. We decided to go to Buck's Naked BBQ for supper and I knew there were a couple of caches near Delorme so we stopped there and found #s 4 and 5 before going out for supper. Bellys full, we headed home having saved an otherwise wasted weekend!
