On Saturday, we headed to the Maine Wildlife Park for the second time this summer. This time, I wanted to get to meet one of my hunting heroes: Richard Bernier. It was a pretty hot day, we forgot to bring a backpack for drinks/camera/etc... and the little one wanted to be carried a LOT and she's not really all that little. Speaking of that... she had her 3 year old well-check on Monday and was not her usually perfect self for the doctor. I think she was put-off by the 20-minute vaccine discussion. All of her running around has finally slimmed her down enough so that she is now "on the chart" weight-wise at 96%. She was also at 90% height, so her weight isn't a concern at all.

Last Thursday, the 4 of us went to see TWO put on their juggling show at Wescustogo Hall. They were even better than I had expected! They were not only incredible jugglers, but they were hilarious as well. North Yarmouth is a long way from The Tonight Show or the White House, where they had performed in the past, but they definitely didn't seem to be "phoning it in". Unfortunately... around 20 minutes in, my 3 year old started acting up and whined about wanting to go home. We had only brought one vehicle and I really didn't want to deprive my big girl, so I walked the little one home. I carried her as long as I could (probably 2/3 of a mile) and made her walk the last 1/3 of a mile or so with me. Five minutes after we got home, the other two pulled in with the van. Oh well, it was a nice misty evening and we both got some exercise.

We had a pretty hectic weekend, with my little baby turning 3 and having her birthday on Sunday. In the past, we've always just had family over for the parties, but we invited a couple of long-time friends and their children over this time. It was definitely the biggest crowd we've had at the house since we discontinued our annual 4th of July parties a few years ago. Thankfully, we had seemingly the first sunny day in a week on Sunday afternoon and the kids were able to spend most of the party outside on the slip 'n slide and in the pool.

Not a terribly eventful weekend despite a trip to camp alone with the kids. Going to camp is still pretty good even when nothing exciting happens, though. We went to Bell The Cat in Belfast for lunch on Saturday. On Sunday, the kids begged and whined to go back there for lunch again, but I wanted to go home through Waterville. I told them that they'd probably like Governor's just fine, and when they saw the ridiculous dessert case at the front desk they agreed.
